Kati Sandmann is an international illustrator and artist based in Oaxaca, Mexico. She creates illustrations for children's and storybooks, designs covers and interior layouts.

 

Originally from Germany and educated in Drama and Theatre Arts in Scotland, her background includes film-making, analogue photography, darkroom printing, writing, language teaching, translation, music, and performance.

 

By combining traditional painting with digital design, and drawing on her background as a multi-disciplinary artist, Kati produces soulful and narrative-driven imagery that complements text and adds deeper layers of meaning.

As a freelance illustrator, she collaborates with authors and creative teams worldwide, and is available for projects in publishing and editorial features. She is currently seeking creative representation.
